Aerojaunt Field was once the academy’s primary sports field, a broad stretch of enchanted turf where early generations of students competed in everything from arcane sprints to rudimentary Mage Tower matches. With the construction of Neverwood Stadium, formal competitions were relocated, and the field gradually shifted into a more specialised training ground for elite student teams. Today, it is primarily reserved for structured practice sessions, tactical drills, and closed scrimmages under faculty supervision.

Despite its reduced prominence, Aerojaunt Field retains a lively reputation among students. Its most distinctive feature is the series of permanently enchanted ramps and raised platforms embedded into the terrain, originally installed to support experimental silkball matches. These structures remain in constant use, shaping the field into a layered, aerial training space. The field’s name is said to derive from a now-famous silkball manoeuvre involving rapid midair arcane propulsion, a move still taught to promising first-years in competitive clubs.

Less formal teams frequently claim the space when schedules allow, with the Intramural Silkball Club being the most notable regular user. On quieter days, the field becomes a shared arena for casual practice, experimental spellwork, and impromptu matches that blur the line between sport and spectacle. Even in its reduced role, Aerojaunt Field remains a symbol of Neverwood’s older, more improvisational athletic traditions.
