Description

The River District lies along the banks of the Neverwinter River and bears the clearest scars of the city’s near-destruction. Once a thriving residential and commercial quarter, the district was heavily damaged during the eruption of Mount Hotenow and the chaos that followed.
Although reconstruction efforts continue, the River District remains a patchwork of restored buildings, abandoned shells, scaffolding, and opportunistic redevelopment. It is a place where ambition meets ruin — and not always cleanly.

District Character

Architecture:
A mixture of repaired townhouses, partially collapsed structures, and newly erected stone-and-timber replacements. Scaffolding and temporary supports are common. Some streets remain uneven or half-cleared.
Atmosphere:
Restless and transitional. There is opportunity here — but also instability. Locals are practical, suspicious of outsiders, and tired of promises.
