Neverwood Academic System
At Neverwood Academy, your academic success is measured across three areas:
- Homework
- Labs (Practical Classes)
- Exams
Each course combines these into a final grade at the end of term.
⚠️ Important: Each class sets its own grade weighting (how much homework, exams, and labs matter). Make sure to check with your DM for each subject.
Homework
Students receive two pieces of homework per class each tenday.
- Homework is due at the end of each tenday
- Each assignment requires one ability check
Grading Homework
- Any roll above 20 counts as 20
- The student’s homework grade is the average of all homework rolls
Labs (Practical Classes)
Labs represent hands-on learning experiences, and may take the form of:
- Combat encounters
- Roleplay scenarios
- Ability check challenges
Grading Labs
Grades are assigned at the DM’s discretion based on performance:
- Failed
- The student died, didn’t participate, or performed poorly
- Passed
- The student completed the task successfully
- Distinction
- The student demonstrated initiative, creativity, or exceptional performance
Lab Grade Conversion

Pass: 50–90%
Distinction: 90–100%
