Primary Construction Construct of Neverwood Academy

Brik-E is Neverwood Academy’s chief construction automaton, an indispensable presence whose work quite literally shapes the school’s physical existence. Designed for large-scale magical engineering and self-directed repair, Brik-E oversees the maintenance, expansion, and restoration of campus structures. While he is occasionally aided by lesser constructs or staff volunteers, it is widely understood that without Brik-E’s tireless labour, Neverwood would long ago have fallen into disrepair.

Function and Design

Brik-E is a heavy-duty construct of reinforced brass and arcane steel, his body built around modular tool assemblies that can shift and reconfigure depending on the task at hand. His limbs can extend into scaffolding braces, masonry tools, or delicate arcane calibrators, allowing him to work with equal precision on both structural foundations and intricate magical reinforcements.
He operates on a core directive: to build, repair, and improve. This directive manifests almost obsessively—Brik-E does not simply restore damaged structures but often reinforces them beyond their original design, occasionally incorporating unconventional or experimental architectural features.

Aftermath of Kollema Hall

Following the destruction of Kollema Hall, Brik-E has become a constant fixture across campus. Students report the rhythmic clang of his work echoing through the grounds at all hours, accompanied by the distorted hum of old work songs emitted through his voicebox. These songs—often looping, occasionally glitching—have become oddly comforting to many students, a sign that the academy is quite literally rebuilding itself.
Brik-E does not sleep, rest, or cease his work unless forcibly interrupted by system failure. Minor electrical faults are the only known factor that can halt his progress, typically resulting in brief shutdowns or erratic behaviour before he resumes his duties as if nothing occurred.

Personality and Quirks

Though not designed for social interaction, Brik-E has developed a rudimentary personality shaped by years of continuous operation. He demonstrates:

• A strong sense of “pride” in completed work, often pausing to observe structures once finished
• A tendency to hum or sing louder when working on large-scale projects
• Occasional misinterpretations of instructions, leading to over-engineered or unnecessarily elaborate repairs
  Students who linger nearby may find themselves wordlessly handed tools or assigned minor construction tasks, as Brik-E appears to assume all nearby individuals are part of his workforce.
