Description

The Dragonsguard Historical Society is devoted to the study of ancient history, with a particular focus on legendary conflicts, draconic influence, and the guardians who shaped the world’s past. Members delve into archives, oral traditions, and archaeological sites to uncover truths that are often obscured by time or myth.
The Society places a strong emphasis on connecting history to the present. Many members believe that understanding past threats—especially those involving dragons and ancient powers—is essential to preparing for those that may yet return.
Expeditions beyond the Academy grounds are not uncommon, and while officially supervised, these ventures can sometimes lead to unexpected discoveries—and dangers.

Membership

Students may join the Dragonsguard Historical Society by signing up during the Freshers Fair or at any time upon request.
The Society welcomes students with an interest in history, research, and exploration. Members may participate in archival work, field studies, or collaborative investigations into specific historical events.
Those who demonstrate initiative may be invited to join more advanced expeditions or assist in the preservation of newly uncovered artefacts.
