Backstory

As part of their ongoing studies at Neverwood Academy, the students are dispatched to Sedgemoor under the supervision of Professor Lang, who requires fresh biological components for her Magical Physiologies course. What should be a routine field exercise quickly becomes something far more concerning.
Professor Brandford, aware of growing instability in the region, entrusts the students with a sealed flask of holy water and a simple but urgent directive: locate a spring on a remote north-west islet and pour the contents within.
Sedgemoor itself feels wrong. The deeper the students travel, the more the environment begins to shift—plants rot while still growing, creatures behave unnaturally, and the water grows dark and heavy with unseen influence.
All signs point toward the work of Murgaxor, whose experiments appear to have left a lingering corruption in the marsh. At the heart of it lies the submerged spring—both the source of the disturbance and the key to containing it.
What the students find there may not only cleanse the waters... but reveal the first true glimpse into the scale of Murgaxor’s work.
