Backstory

During the Winter Dance, The Hellhound Gang performs their latest song, The Ballad of Chasey Lain. The crowd loves it—except for one person: Chaselienne "Chasey" Lain herself. Mortified by the lyrics (which are flattering, explicit, and wildly exaggerated), Chasey storms out of the hall.

Moments later, Jimmy, clearly panicking, rushes to the party for help. He didn’t mean to humiliate her; he just wanted to impress her with a “romantic ballad.” Now she’s furious, and the song has gone magically viral across campus.

Objectives

The Fallout at the Dance

• Attend the Winter Dance in the Grand Hall
• Watch The Hellhound Gang perform The Ballad of Chasey Lain
• Witness Chasey storm out of the hall mid-performance
• Speak with Jimmy Pyre after the song ends
• Accept Jimmy’s plea to help fix things with Chasey

Finding Chasey

• Search the Courtyard outside the dance hall
• Discover signs of illusion magic masking footprints in the snow
• Ask nearby students if they saw which way she went
• ~~Track Chasey to the Silverquill Campus

Understanding the Problem

• Talk to Chasey about what upset her
• Learn that the song revealed something deeply personal
• Promise to help Jimmy make things right

The Grand Apology

• Return to Jimmy with Chasey’s feelings
• Help Jimmy come up with a proper apology plan
  • Option A: Write a new song or poem
  • Option B: Retrieve a sentimental gift or keepsake
  • Option C: Arrange a small private performance
• Acquire any needed materials (ink, quill, charm components)
• Choose the apology setting (Music Room / Amphitheatre / Courtyard)
• Set up the stage and magical effects

The Performance

• Meet Chasey at the chosen location
• Help Jimmy perform his apology
• Manage the crowd if other students show up unexpectedly
• Observe Chasey’s reaction

Resolution
