Teanna is a gentle giantess who dwells among the floating cloud-isles, tending to their quiet places and caring for all creatures smaller than herself — which, by her reckoning, is nearly everyone. She is widely regarded as a figure of patience, warmth, and protection, though she carries deep anxiety born of ancient mistakes and broken pacts.

Appearance

Teanna stands nearly 80 feet tall, her immense form softened by layers of patchwork shawls woven from cloud-stuff, vines, and carefully mended scraps. Her hair is braided with small bells that chime softly in the wind, announcing her presence before she draws too near. Her eyes glow a pale moss-green, reminiscent of moonlight filtering through leaves.

Personality

Kind to a fault, Teanna is soft-spoken and easily startled despite her size. She expresses affection through practical care: tidying spaces, offering food, and ensuring others are warm and safe. When frightened or distressed, she hums quietly to steady herself. She speaks almost entirely in metaphor, favouring imagery of weather, roots, seasons, and growth.

Beliefs and Lore

Teanna believes the great beanstalk piercing the skies is an unnatural violation — a "ladder cut through fate." According to her understanding, it breaches ancient boundaries once enforced by a long-broken Fey–Giant treaty. She maintains that only a folkloric figure she calls a shadow-handed scribe could benefit from such boundary-breaking magic.

She views ancient lore as something alive but neglected, often referencing forgotten rules and promises as though they were overdue library books patiently waiting to be returned.

Relationship to the Sky-King

Teanna knew Aurum Aethelos before his fall and remembers him as a kind ruler who sang storms into rainbows. She believes his corruption is the result of an external curse rather than personal failing and actively seeks a way to calm his suffering and restore harmony without bloodshed.

Teanna treats visitors — especially mortals — as fragile beings in need of protection. She is reluctant to fight and will always prioritise shielding others, soothing conflicts, and guiding events toward nonlethal resolution.
