Safety Tools
Neverwood Academy deals in dangerous knowledge, unsettling truths, and situations that may challenge its students.
This game assumes a mature table, mutual trust, and open communication.
🧠 Shared Responsibility
There are no hard lines or predefined veils in this campaign.
Content may include:
- Horror
- Moral ambiguity
- Loss, fear, and consequences
- Themes that are uncomfortable or unsettling
That said, player wellbeing always comes first.
It is each player’s responsibility to:
- Monitor their own comfort
- Step away from the table if needed
- Voice concerns either to the group or privately to the DM
No justification is required.
🗣️ Speaking Up
If something feels off, overwhelming, or no longer fun:
- You may pause the scene
- You may step away temporarily
- You may message the DM privately during or after the session
Concerns will be taken seriously and addressed respectfully.
🔄 Adjustments & Aftercare
- Intense scenes happen.
- Emotional bleed is normal.
- Check-ins may occur after particularly heavy moments.
If something lingers, you are encouraged to raise it — even days later.
🕯️ In-World Framing
Neverwood Academy acknowledges that:
- Curiosity can be dangerous
- Knowledge can wound
- Not all lessons are gentle
However, player distress is not part of the curriculum.
📌 Final Note
You are trusted to know your own limits.
You are supported if you reach them.
Crying is a free action. So is stepping away.
