Among Neverwood Academy’s many student legends, none are as persistent as the tale of The Pub That Crawls — a mythical tavern said to walk on wooden legs through the Neverwood Marshes, appearing only to those who have proven themselves “worthy drinkers of five worlds.” Centuries ago, a group of eccentric students discovered the secret of the moving pub and, after falling out over how to use it, each founded their own establishment somewhere between Neverwinter and the Academy grounds. These five pubs — the Tall Tale, the Frothing Flask, the Lucid Dreamer, the Rambling Toad, and the Beauty’s Mirror — became local icons, their founders sealing within them fragments of the magic needed to summon the sixth and final tavern.

Now, rumours have resurfaced after a strange notebook fell from the shelves of the Biblioplex, its pages bearing the mark of one Eb Zenithon, one of the original founders. The book speaks of a potion brewed from five signature drinks that, when consumed in a single night, opens the way to The Pub That Crawls. Whether the promise is treasure, knowledge, or simply glory, no student has ever completed the challenge — and the opportunity may come but once in a lifetime.
