Biography

Professor Serafina Onyx is a recent and somewhat enigmatic addition to the Witherbloom faculty. An alumna of the Academy herself, she now teaches advanced courses in reanimation and undead magic — subjects she is widely acknowledged to have mastered at a remarkably young age.

Onyx keeps a deliberately low profile, preferring quiet competence over attention. She is often seen working in restricted sections of the Academy’s libraries and archives, and tends to keep a professional distance from students. Those who have spoken with her at length describe her as reserved but sharply perceptive, with little tolerance for carelessness.

Despite her quiet demeanour, her appointment raised more than a few eyebrows. Onyx bypassed the usual instructional track and was offered a full professorship immediately, an honour that sparked a degree of envy among some faculty.
