Biography

Embrose Lu is a human Silverquill professor of shadow and a lawful neutral thinker with a razor-sharp mind and even sharper tongue. A master poet, his ink magic can wound as easily as it illuminates, and he expects his students to wield language with equal precision. Scant with praise and swift with criticism, he has little patience for those who fail to meet his exacting standards.

Embrose is a cynic at heart, believing most individuals pursue power or glory for themselves. His lessons focus on the tactical use of words and the subtle application of shadow magic to ensure one’s voice carries weight — and influence. While his methods are exacting, he holds a quiet, begrudging respect for those who succeed through diligence and cunning.

Despite frequent clashes with Dean Talonrook, Embrose acknowledges that her light complements his shadow, creating a curriculum that challenges students to master both the inspiring and the persuasive powers of language.
