Biography

Born into a powerful noble family, Renald Rothton was expected from birth to carry on a grand magical legacy. Those expectations shattered when it became clear that he possessed almost no conventional magical ability. Desperate to “fix” the problem, his family hired a private tutor whose methods proved both extreme and dangerous.

What followed is rarely spoken of in detail. Renald did not die — not fully. When he awoke, he perceived the world differently, seeing layers of equations, diagrams, and abstract structures overlaying reality itself. In the chaos that followed, his latent power manifested in ways that defied traditional spellwork entirely.

Now, still barely out of his teens, Renald stands as one of the youngest professors ever appointed at Neverwood. His appearance — pale, distant, and rarely making direct eye contact — unsettles some, as his attention often drifts to patterns only he can see. Nevertheless, his brilliance is undeniable. Renald specialises in reality-bending abstraction, reshaping fundamental principles rather than casting spells in the traditional sense.
