Biography

Professor Karl Shaffer is one of Neverwood Academy’s most enthusiastic defenders—and most curious scholars. A historian by trade, he has dedicated his career to studying the university itself, particularly the strange stories, traditions, and unexplained phenomena that others dismiss as student superstition.

Rarely seen without a book (or several), Shaffer firmly believes that even false legends reveal important truths about the past. He delights in chasing obscure references and half-forgotten anecdotes, especially when they turn out to have more substance than expected. While his memory for details can be... selective, his passion for inquiry is unmistakable.

Approachable and eager to talk shop, Professor Shaffer is always happy to help students who show genuine curiosity—provided he can remember where he read that crucial detail in the first place.
