Summary

A festive Midwinter Feast quickly turns from cosy celebration to icy catastrophe when a mysterious snow elemental crashes through the Great Hall and steals the Academy’s treasured Star of Remembrance — right as Marionette and Glue are halfway through stealing it themselves. The party launches into a chaotic campus-wide chase that leads them deep into a worsening blizzard, where they take refuge in a frozen hunting hut hiding a grim secret, a dead hunter, and a chilling diary that suggests the elemental may not be acting alone.

The Midwinter Feast

• The party begins in the decorated Greathall for the annual Midwinter Feast. A towering Christmas tree stands at the front of the hall, topped with a radiant Star of Remembrance.
• Students mingle, eat, and enjoy the festivities.
• Lyra pulls aside Lysander Frostbane and warns him that trouble tends to follow the party — so he should stay alert.
• Marionette eyes the glowing star with intent and asks Grayson Wildemere about it.
  • Grayson explains that the Star of Remembrance is a magical orb tjmhat stores memories of past Midwinter celebrations.
• Marionette and Glue decide to steal it.
  • They begin climbing the tree.
  • Glue is assisted by his octopus Buhuiop and his familiar Cynthia.

The Star is Stolen

• Just as they attempt to grab the star, a massive ice and snow elemental bursts through the hall doors.
• The creature beelines for the star with terrifying speed.
• The party races to intercept it — but the elemental reaches the tree first and tears the Star of Remembrance free.
• It escapes out of the Greathall and across campus, the party in hot pursuit.
• The chase ends when the elemental takes to the sky, disappearing into the storm.
• Glue alerts a Campus Guide Automaton, ensuring the staff are informed before the group heads out after the elemental.

Into the Frozen Forest

• The party follows its tracks into the snow-covered woods beyond campus.
• The weather grows steadily worse the further they travel, wind and snow beating against them.
• After a long march through the blizzard, they discover a small wooden hunting hut.
• They decide to take shelter inside.

The Frozen Hut

• The interior is completely flash-frozen — walls, floor, furniture, everything coated in ice.
• A corpse lies on the floor: a hunter seemingly frozen solid by the same force that took the star.
• To keep warm, the party constructs a fire.
• Inspecting the corpse, they carefully retrieve a small diary from its frozen grip: the Hunters Journal.
• After reading it, Glue drags the frozen body to the washroom to… dispose of it (eat it).

Nightfall in the Blizzard

• Exhausted and half-frozen, the party settles in for the night.
• They agree to rest in shifts, posted at watch, knowing the elemental — or whatever drove it — could still be near.
