Summary

After a long tenday of exams, essays, and magical exhaustion, the students of Neverwood Academy finally had a chance to breathe. They gathered at Bow’s End Tavern for food, laughter, and a well-earned evening of relaxation — until the kitchen quite literally boiled over.

Session Events

• The students spent the tenday focused on studying and completing their winter exams, each coping with the academic stress in their own way.
• Once exams concluded, they made their way to Bow’s End Tavern to unwind. Between hearty food, drinks, and friendly chatter, spirits began to lift.
• During the meal, Lyra produced a mysterious leaflet titled “Neverwinter: Pubs, Inns & Taverns” — it had appeared on her desk that morning. The paper was covered in handwritten notes and strange markings, hinting that if one could drink all five signature drinks from the listed taverns, a sixth, hidden pub might be revealed.
• As the party studied the map and speculated on its meaning, screams erupted from the kitchen.
• Chef Curtie Axechucker burst out, shouting about “spicy steam” attacking people before rushing back in, her braids flying behind her.
• The party raced to assist, finding the kitchen in chaos — boiling pots overflowing, steam hissing, and four steam mephits swirling above the stoves.
• Glue quickly condensed one mephit, forcing it back into its pot and freezing it solid. He then hurried to help Zeraphis "Zera" Duskrain, a student chef lying unconscious on the floor.
• Harry absorbed the burning heat of another mephit with Absorb Elements, but the creatures retaliated, scalding several party members with bursts of steam.
• Thinking creatively, Marionette grabbed one of the boiling pots and plunged it into a nearby barrel of water, creating an explosion of steam that burned her hands severely. She passed out from the pain.
• As Glue struggled to drag Zeraphis to safety, frustration got the better of him. He unleashed a spell that obliterated a nearby mephit, triggering a chain reaction — each one exploding in turn until the kitchen was left a dripping, hissing ruin.
• Bruised, burned, and thoroughly done with the evening’s chaos, the students decided it was best to call it a night and return to their dorms, hoping tomorrow would be quieter.
