Summary

After their harrowing ordeal in the Xvart Village, the students of Neverwood Academy finally returned to campus—muddy, bruised, and dragging behind them a dragon-cat hybrid once known as Miaukier. What followed was a day of rest, reward, and revelry as the party slipped back into the rhythms of student life… though not without a few chaotic mishaps, strange encounters, and the occasional swallowed fork.

The Return of Miaukier

• The group arrived back at campus late into the night and summoned a campus guide automaton for directions.
• They made their way to Widdershins Hall on Witherbloom Campus, pounding on Theodore Moss's door until he answered.
• Groggy and irritated, Theodore was nonetheless overjoyed to see Miaukier returned—though shocked by the creature’s new draconic form.
• In gratitude, he gifted each student a bottle from his personal potion collection before sending them on their way.
• The party retired to their dorms for some much-needed rest.

Breakfast at Whalebucks

• The next morning, the group (minus H’er) met for breakfast at the Whalebucks inside Widdershins Hall.
• Over coffee and pastries, they caught up on campus gossip and decompressed from their adventure.
• Harry noticed his coffee cup had their room number written on it by barista Torin Grimwhisper, sparking suspicion that the drink might be tampered with—Lyra was asked to check.
• A few hours later, Ivy Drake approached Milfjord, inviting him to join her and some friends at Bow's End Tavern for a Wizard Gizzard tournament and smoke session. He agreed, intrigued.
